I WILL DO ANYTHING OR GIVE UP ANYTHING FOR THE LOVE OF BOTH CELINE & CORA LYNNE TO HELP THEM FIND FAMILIES!! Are you one of their mommies? Both girls cannot be adopted together so I am searching to find 2 forever families!

This Journey of advocating! 3 days left!

First of all I want thank each & every one of you for all the encouragement you have left for me on the blog, on facebook or the yahoo group. I have "met" so many through blogs & the yahoo group who have been nothing but kind to me. I have a feeling that when I adopt someday I will have that same love & support poured out to me. Thank you so much for helping me fundraise & raise better awareness for these girls! When I first started back in July 2010 raising awareness for Quinton & Celine, I had no idea where this road would take me but through that I know God meant for me to help these kids. Even if I may not get to meet every family (or advocates!) I have helped or followed, I still feel so happy to have gotten to play a small part in bringing that child home. I am trusting God that he will make a way for me to meet the most inspirational families/women I have followed their blogs & that someday I will get to meet Quinton & the girls but for now I am content that I have 3 local Reeces Rainbow families, 1-Hansina & John David who I met as well as Lydiah who I will meet once home, 2-Jennifer Sanchez, I have met Sofia but not her mom, & 3-Beth Herrington (adopting Olivia) who I will be meeting Friday! Soon, I hope to share how I came upon Reeces Rainbow but for now I want to say THANK YOU TO EVERY FOLLOWER, EVERY SHARER THAT SHARES THE LINKS, EVERY PERSON WHO COMMENTS, EVERY PERSON WHO DONATES TO THESE GIRLS, & SO MANY MORE!!! 3 days left til the end of the birthday challenge! LETS FIND CORA LYNNES FOREVER FAMILY!

Also why you are at it please pray for success for the yard sale? I pray we get lots of trafic & make a good amount of money for the Mickschl & Miller families through the sale. Pray for success & also raise a good amount from the refreshments for Celine & Cora Lynne. Pray for the people at the yard sale, that I will be able to tell them about Reeces Rainbow & advocate for these kids.

Blogging my heart out & Yard sale

Today, I am thinking of 3 Reeces Rainbow kiddos who are in the Hospital right now due to being under weight. Please keep Julia, Sonya, & Dusty in your prayers.
I am pouring my heart out Cora Lynne & Celine. I know your families are out there. To fundraise for you girls, I am doing a refreshment table with drinks & goodies at the yard sale. I am amazed that 1 of the families I decided to benefit through the yard sale decided to bring a HUGE amount of stuff plus I have more coming from friends!

See this jar? its for donations at the yard sale for your grant fund

More pictures of Celine!

So I asked if I could see the other pictures of Celine & I got permission to post them on my blog. I really like the one on her profile page but their is 1 in this batch that is good. Don't you think she would make a wonderful daughter?

Peek-a-boo I see you! Would you not love to play with me?

I just love to read & would love someone to read to me every night!

She does not look very happy here

Day 21

Day 21, Lord you know who Cora Lynnes family is. Please bring them closer to decision of commitment soon so she can be home by her next birthday. Let them know that I am advocating & praying for them as they make this decision.
For Cora Lynne, I may not know when exactally your birthday is but know that I am thinking of you everyday. Mommy & Daddy will hopefully be there before your 6th birthday. Know that I am fundraising & advocating for you like crazy but God is the one who knows who your family is & when they will step forward for you. If I was old enough & married I would come get you myself but I hope to have an angel like you someday. For now, I am fighting for your life! Screaming, shouting, & hollering for you & Celine to find families! I so hope that if its Gods will that I get to meet you someday with your future family.
I love you very much & will continue to search for your forever family!
your prayer warrior/advocate,
Leah

day 20

Wow, I can't believe I have blogged for 20 days pretty much. Someday I hope their will be no more orphans & that people with special needs will be accepted all over the world, but for now I continue to fight for all those that have no hope! Please PRAY, PRAY, PRAY FOR THESE KIDS to find their forever families & that they remain safe & Healthy why they wait.

day 19 & just 12 days left!

Lets see if we can find Cora Lynne a family in 12 days!!! I would hate to see her shut away for the rest of her life. These kids get transfered to adult institutions at 4-5 yrs old. Would you skip a starbucks or mcdonalds run for Cora Lynne?
Thanks for all your encouraging comments on yesterdays post! I have had 200+ views on that post which is the most I have gotten on any post which means I must have more people reading my blog about these girls.

Its the truth

As I type this their are tears in my eyes, why you might ask? Through advocating about kids on Reeces Rainbow, I have come into a wonderful blog land with families stories of adopting through RR & those advocating for Reeces Rainbow. The past few days I have read some of the honest posts & they make me cry in a good way but at the same time sad way.
Julia, just recently adopted through RR & she needs our prayers. She is in the Hospital & will be for 2 weeks at least due to being malnourished.
Heres a sweet one that I will cry out for:

Nathaniel, who has hydrocephaly which could be possibly treated here in the USA but sadly has been denied surgery in his own country. His best chance at survival is to find a family! I would hate to see him die alone. Please consider donating to his grant fund at http://reecesrainbow.org/nathaniel410
See this guy? His family is over there right now & certainly could use prayer!

Lately, I have felt like what else more is their for me to do when I keep getting shot down on my fundraising & what more is there that I can do. Everytime I see these stories I cry as I know what the TRUTH is like for these kids overseas & even though I have never personally seen it I surely believe it. Just look at this page of orphans who have had families coming for them but passed away before they could get to them or never had a chance to find their forever family:
http://reecesrainbow.org/background/in-loving-memory
I am on my knees praying for God to bring Cora Lynne & Celine their forever families. Are you their forever families? These faces are why, I fight for these girls. Brady, who has lived in a institution most of his life now has his family there but who will fight for all the others left behind?

Its been 2 weeks since I first started the challenge for Cora Lynne! Heres the updates:
25 blog followers
52 facebook likes on For the Love of Celine & Cora Lynne group
& who knows how many have shared her links on facebook!!!
Please keep spreading the word, donate, & pray for her to find her forever family!!
I will be doing a yard sale hopefully in 4 weeks for these kids!! All sharing makes a difference too!! Lets have 100 followers by the end of the month & 100 facebook likes!

Day 14

So I just found out I won't be edwins official 5/5/5 warrior but still plan on fundraising for him if I can! Great job at spreading the word! People are hearing about the girls & Reeces Rainbow. Several families have lost their commited child lately due to several reasons, one of which went to be with Jesus. I would Hate for any child to die alone that way. PLEASE HELP SO CORA LYNNE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE ONE OF THOSE KIDS!!! I wish the whole world would see how the outside looks don't matter but its the inside that counts. LIFE MATTERS, whether we have an extra chromosome or other special needs. EVERYONE OF THESE KIDS ARE BEAUTIFUL IN THEIR OWN WAY!
My sister dances her heart out, just because she is different on the outside its whats on the inside that matters most & I love her dearly for the way she is. God created us all to be unique & thats the way she is. Shy, who loves to sing, dance(which is amazing!) (will post video soon) & she happens to have that extra chromosome! Yes, it may be hard sometimes with her stuborn ways but I still love her.

Day 10

I am thinking of Cora Lynne today, trying to find a way to fundraise for her & writing the right words so that someone might find this blog & consider Cora Lynne. Cora Lynne, waiting for her forever family. just 10 days into blogging & its hard to figure out what to write. She would make such a sweet daughter, I would snatch her up quick if I was married & over 25. What has captured me interested in her, is her lovely eyes. They would just sparkle if she had a loving family. Would it not be awesome to say she found her family this month? Lets spread the word!!! I have had 50 likes on the facebook group alone & just imagine what that effect that might bring! I CHALLENGE YOU TODAY TO PLEASE BLOG ABOUT CORA LYNNE!!!

Monday, May 9, 2011

Keep it coming its day 9!

Wow I have blogged for 9 days now, As you can tell my blog posts are lacking. The thing is since I have not been to the orphanage where Cora Lynne are at I have no idea what she is like. If anyone has been to Cora Lynnes orphanage & knows more about her please comment. As soon as the consignment sale is over, I will be planning Garage Sale/bake sale Extravaganza & include a recycle campaign for Reeces Rainbow locally. I will also be making & selling things on etsy soon such as furry flipflops. I want Cora Lynne to find her forever family so keep spreading the word! Dear Lord, Please keep Cora Lynne safe as she waits on her forever family to find her. Let her come home by her next birthday. amen

Happy Mothers day to all you moms & Day 8!

Happy Mothers Day to all you moms, adoptive or by birth it does not matter! Although I am too young & not a mother, I hope to be someday so if your not a mom yet Happy Mommy day in Training! I got that from a dear friend at church this morning. Even though I am not a mom, I am like a mom to kids at church serving in Childrens Ministry & have formed bonds with several kids. As its Mothers Day we think about our kids, well I am thinking of 2 girls who do not have a mommy. Cora Lynne & Celine both don't have mommies to hold & care for them if they have a boo-boo, hug them when they are sad, take care of them when they are sick, & feed them when they are Hungry. Wheres their mommies? i wish with all my heart these 2 could be adopted together but they can't. Please pray they will have their forever families so that next year they can celebrate Mothers day! Keep spreading the word for Cora Lynnes sake!

Day 7

Today brings day 7. For the Love of Celine & Cora Lynne has 45 likes on Facebook, I have 24 followers on the blog, Cora Lynnes profile link has been shared 21 times on facebook (not sure if thats recently but still its cool!) and more people have come to know Cora Lynne as well as the other princess I advocate for, Celine. God is already showing me what love can do this week as a adoptive family who themselves could use this has graciously decided to give me something I could use to fundraise not for any Reeces Rainbow kid but for the mission trip I will go to serve at Camp Barnabas, a Christian camp in Missouri for kids & adults with special needs as well as the siblings. Another sweet story: So as you may recall from my post in February, I was doing a change campaign for Quinton. Well since I deposited the last batch of change, I have had 2 people return the change back to me. Last night my friends little 4 yr old son gave me the jar & she said it had been half full when he decided to open his piggy bank. Shes not sure if he quite understands but I thought it was so sweet. A little boy giving his change, for the love of a child. Lets bestow the same blessings that God has graciously given to us, even if its not much or just praying for Cora Lynne it all helps! Lets find her forever family for her 5th birthday! We have 55 likes more to get on fb, 76 or even more followers for the blog, & 24 days left for the challenge!

Donation box & Day 6

As you can see to the right, i have changed my donation box for Celine for the 5/5/5 warrior project. It shows the goal & as donations go in it will show how much is raised for Celine. Please consider donating so she can have a chance at finding her forever family!
Day 6, wow I never thought I could come up with stuff to post about. Did you know that I have gained 6 followers since the challenge started? Plus at least 100 views on my blog post alone about meeting Hansina & John David. I will be getting some really nice yarn from a friend at church who says she has too much to knit lol, (like i have plenty too?) & she has told me she would rather it go to someone she knows who will use it for something good. Well, she told me I could use it to fundraise in some way for Reeces Rainbow so I will be putting stuff in the etsy shop I have once made.
Keep sharing so Cora Lynne can find her forever family!

Thursday, May 5, 2011

Start of the 5/5/5 warrior campaign!

Today starts the 5/5/5 warrior campaign for Reeces Rainbow. The goal is to raise awareness for the 5 yr olds in honor of RR 5th anniversary & raise $5,000. I could only signup for 1 warrior so I chose Celine but that does not mean I will still do all I can for Cora Lynne. Please keep spreading the word so that Cora Lynne & Celine can find their forever families! Today is day 5, only 26 days left of this challenge!

Meeting Precious John Mark & Hansina

Today I met Hansina, Morgan, & John Mark. John Mark known as "Liam" from Reeces Rainbow who came home to their family in November. While they were there they met this precious cutie, Lydiah & fell in love with her.

You see it was so sureal meeting him, as he was the 1st profile link I shared on facebook before they commited to him & was the 1st child to have me hooked to Reeces Rainbow. I enjoyed getting to meet him & can't wait to meet Lydiah when she comes home! Please continue to follow, share, etc. for Cora Lynnes sake so she can find her forever family like John Mark did!! 27 days left of her challenge! Please post about her on your blogs or facebook pages!

Day 3

I am seeing progress, with people sharing links, following my blog, etc! Now Lets Pray for the next 27 days so that more people will know about the plight of what Cora Lynne as well as Celine can face & that her forever family may find her. A little information on Cora Lynne:
Cora Lynne is already 4 1/2 and facing the institution. She is available to single moms and Canadian families! More photos available.

Heres some information on her region:
2 trips
Both parents for 2 weeks
Wait 2-3 months for court
Both parents travel for 2nd trip, one can leave after 4 days, the other waits one week longer
No family size restrictions
Both parents must be younger than 60 years
Total program and travel fees under $35k
Fee includes a $500 orphanage donation
Married couples and single mothers may apply
CANADIANS WELCOME!
Sadly Celine is not in her same region & unrelated children can not be adopted together in Celines region. PLEASE SOMEONE CONSIDER CORA LYNNE! I wish I knew what day her birthday was, but sometimes that is kept quiet until a family commits to her.
If you can please donate even just $5 could help her find her forever family? Just wanted to add if you could please blog about her that would help spread the word! If you blog about her please post in the comments section with your blog address.

Day 2 of the Challenge

Gosh already its hard what to say on day 2 of the challenge, except to say I want to get 10 more followers by the end of this week. I also would like to see how many blog about her by the end of today! Cora Lynne was my 2nd christmas warrior that got listed late into the Angel Tree Campaign but I still tried hard to fundraise & advocate for her. Just Imagine what a family can do for this sweet girl?
Please SPREAD THE WORD so this little girl can get the loving family she needs!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday, May 1, 2011

Today is the 1st day of the Cora Lynne Challenge!

I am kinda stealing this from the video I watched at church but it is true.
Today this little girl waits for a family to love & cherish her,

Today an orphan somewhere will die, Today an orphan will be transfered & have no hope, Today I am starting a journey so this little one will find her family! Please join me today by taking Cora Lynnes Challenge! Help her not have to be transfered hopefully, not ever! The best chance at her finding her forever family is by SPREADING THE WORD WHETHER IT BE THIS BLOG OR HER REECES RAINBOW PAGE OR FOR THE LOVE OF CELINE & CORA LYNNE FACEBOOK GROUP!! It does not cost a thing to do but your time, also if you have a blog I ask that you post about her! You never know where someone might be that decides they should adopt!
