Happy New Year!!

I just wanted to say thanks to all my faithful blog readers! You all are what keeps me going! Without you these Girls grants would not be where they are today! I hope your 2012 is as blessed as 2011 was for me! Happy 2012!!! God bless you all! Looking forward to what the new year will bring including hopefully families for both girls!
Celine & Cora Lynne wish you a happy new year too from afar!!!

Dear Celine,

Their is a reason for everything,
I believe God lead me to you to help find your forever family.
Another reason is my sister God blessed with that extra chromosome like you have! I love your cute little grin not cause you were blessed with that gift but its what makes you who you are! Today was not quite was expected but you know what I believe their was a reason I found another person who loves you so much & is so kindly wanting to help fundraise for your adoption. God lead me to this person so I can have another member of Celines Team. This has been a somewhat crazy but in a good way week for you. Your grant grew $36 more thanks to another warriors dad! Several have messaged me with donations for the next Giveaway for you. Lately I have written several good messages to you & Cora Lynne on my Facebook page. This is just a few of them:
My heart yearns to tell you, I will love you for you, to treasure you both, & tell you that your families are coming for you. It aches to my very soul that adoption has to be so expensive, I mean why put a price tag on your life? I wish in my every being I had enough to support both your adoptions but I don't. I wish 1 or both of you could join my family but you can't. Why do we have to put a cost on LOVE? I am praying their might be a way to do some bigger fundraisers for you girls but right now I also keep praying your families might come.
& another-I long to see your smiling face, everyday I look at that page I long to see it there. When I don't see it on that page it makes me hurt for you knowing you don't have the love a family like mine can bring. Love you baby girl & I will keep praying for the day I see you on the My Family Found me page! when that day comes I will shout it for all the world to hear!
A few days ago Reece's Rainbow got a lot of hits on their website from a reccent news broadcast which I hope will bring more to know about you & all your friends!
Oh & finally I started another change drive all for you! So thats whats happening this week baby girl I love you & hope you are safe & warm! I am fighting til the ends of the earth on fundraising & finding your forever family! Leah
ps please stay tuned for the Giveaway Jan 18th! Donations still appreciated for prizes! leave a comment here

Giveaway postponed!

I have decided to postpone the Giveaway to January 18th to give people time to recouperate from giving to the Angel Tree & to allow more time for me to finish sending off delayed prizes from the christmas auction & even 1 prize from the last Giveaway (sorry to prize winners its been crazy with moving!) & gather some more prizes for this one on top of trying to plan some more fundraisers for Celine. Please forgive me, this has just been one weird December! I want this Giveaway to be as Big as possible! Their is a family who is interested in Celine & would scoop her up quick if the funds were there! So please be patient & stay tuned for Shoot for the Stars Giveaway pt 2! If interested in donating a prize please leave a comment. Thanks!

A Gift

Today I picked up this gift for a sweet girl who waits for her family, Cora Lynne. As we just celebrated Christmas I am sure most of you recieved and/or gave a gift from someone you know. I am sure you appreciated it alot even if it was not something you asked for. God Gave her a gift, that in her country is not appreciated for who she is. I am sure she did not spend christmas opening up gifts cause she is in a orphanage. My gift to her is to fill this scrapbook with ALL THE GIFTS HER FRIENDS FROM AROUND THE USA HAVE GIVEN HER FOR WHOEVER THAT FAMILY WHO CHOOSES HER MIGHT BE! PLEASE HELP ME GIVE HER ANOTHER GIFT BY SPREADING THE WORD ABOUT CORA LYNNE AS HER GREATEST GIFT SHOULD BE A FAMILY NOT A ORPHANAGE!!! SEE THAT "FAMILY" IN THE COVER? LET'S MAKE SURE CORA LYNNE CAN HAVE THAT BY THE END OF 2012 OR MAYBE THE END OF 2011? YOU NEVER KNOW, WE SERVE A MIGHTY GOD WHO CAN DO ANYTHING! I will be including pictures of people & fundraising events, & anything else that is part of her journey to her forever family!
CAUSE THE BEST GIFT OF ALL IS JESUS & NEXT TO THAT IS A FAMILY! ARE YOU MY FAMILY?? CONTACT ANDREA ROBERTS AT REECE'S RAINBOW FOR MORE INFORMATION ON ME & THE ADOPTION PROCESS!!!

Great news for Reece's Rainbow!

Today Reece's Rainbow was featured on ABC World News with Diane Sawyer with the story of Mia Cox & her familys journey to get her. The best news to hear is the WEBSITE IS BEING CRAMMED WITH NEW TRAFFIC!! Andrea posted this to her facebook:
I may need a Mountain Dew so I can stay up late tonight and respond to new inquiries. Anxiously waiting for the aired segment to show up on YouTube (or the ABC website). For our current advocates: please help us by NOT visiting the RR website, we are being overloaded by new hits from the news program, so stay off for a while! lol
I think this day will go down in record history for Reece's Rainbow!!! Praying this brings exposure to the girls & that maybe their families might find them!
Incase you missed it go to the link
Oh & if you try to donate to the box to the right thats also down due to all the traffic to their website but still go to the angel tree page or RR website directly to donate!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all my wonderful readers!!! I Just wanted to publicly thank you all for your help to Celine & Cora Lynne over the past year & half I have been advocating for them! I first started this blog Oct 5,2010 advocating for Celine at the time then later when the angel tree started I added Cora Lynne to my advocating efforts in December 2010 when she got added late into the angel tree campaign then I stuck with her as a New Year warrior, now I am an all around warrior to both these girls! In 2010, from fundraising for the girls & Quinton $319.42 was raised!! In 2011 from all the fundraising for Quinton, Cora Lynne, & Celine $2,714.04 has been raised!!! Quinton is happy & thriving with his family now lets pray Celine & Cora Lynne will soon be the same! WITHOUT ALL MY FRIENDS & FAMILIES SUPPORT I NEVER COULD HAVE IMAGINED RAISING THAT MUCH THIS YEAR FOR CHILDREN IN NEED OF FAMILIES, 2 OF WHICH IS NOW HOME! Note-I could not figure out the amounts if it was seperate or not in the total for Mackenzie but none the less you ALL HELPED 2 ORPHANS COME HOME TO LOVING FAMILIES & 2 ORPHANS STILL IN NEED OF FAMILIES!!! Heres some of the amazing fundraisers that happened in 2011:
Heartful of Love Change drive/birthday gifts-$220+
Yard Sales June 2011 (2 days for the Mickschl family & Miller family with snack proceeds going to the girls & 2 days going to the Girls) Just 1 date alone if I rememeber right raised $200 for the girls!
Various JBF consignment sales-4 total in spring & fall 2011 estimating at least $600+ total for all sales
Celines Shoot for the Stars Giveaway-$1,000
Cora Lynnes Last Chance Christmas Auction-$111
Angel Tree donations just from family/friends (this is counted in total 2011)-$75
Babysitting money earned for Cora Lynne during angel tree-$38+
Friends & Family who absoulutely ROCK-PRICELESS!!! Now heres a few of the girls &/or Quintons supporters who made that all possible!
Mischel Z
Christy, Margaret, & Kayla H.
Gates family
Gorski family
Hardwick family-Thanks Mom & Dad! From taking on the stress of stuff in the house for the yard sales & JBF to collecting change, to donating towards the chipin you both rock!
Rebekah & Ben M-Thanks sis & Ben love you both lots! Thanks to you Celine made it 1 step closer to a family!
Ladies small group at my Church-You all did the unthinkable when I brought a change jar back in february for Mischel & you all passed it around dropping spare change & dollar bills all for the love of Quinton
Hardwick small group at my church
Beth H. & family-In the midst of her own adoption she came out to support the Mickschls at the yard sale & bought some yummy goodies that supported the girls!
All who donated items to the yard sale including the Mickschls who allowed to split the proceeds with the Millers & brought most of the stuff that was at the sale! Bessie B. donated some bags of stuff for the yard sale!
Rochelle, Jenn, Samantha, & Mr. W.-you all were so kind to host the yard sale & the items in your home for the 2nd weekend of sales! Rochelle, Jenn, & Samantha you kindly have helped with all the sales doing whats needed & getting sunburnt putting all those clothes away lol. But without you some of that total would not be.
Debi, Martin, & David K.-First of all a Huge thank you goes to precious David for collecting change for Quinton! Although you may never remember what you did I will always treasure that gift he was given by a child. Debi-Thank you so much for supporting the change drive & by wrapping presents to support Cora Lynne & Colton! I wish you the best journey in your adoption story & I hope to share that support you have given me. Martin-I so appreciate you driving Debi to wrapping & support of all these charity stuff. Thank you both for shopping at the Yard Sale!
Heather M.-Thanks for coming to the Yard Sale back in June, she not only came once but came back again LOL.
Shante H.-collected change, donated to Cora Lynne & has spread the word to her school!
Their is so MANY MORE I COULD NAME BUT MY HANDS ARE TIRED FROM ALL THE WRITING LOL! YOU ALL KNOW WHO YOU ARE & HOW YOU PLAYED PART IN ANY OF THESE KIDS LIFES!!! THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH FROM CELINE, CORA LYNNE, QUINTON, & MACKENZIE!!! OH & ME TOO!
MY WISH BY THE END OF 2012 IS THAT THESE 2 GIRLS WILL BE ORPHANS NO MORE & THAT WE WILL HAVE RAISED SO MUCH MORE THAN 2011 & THAT MAYBE I WILL HAVE 2 MORE ORPHANS FEATURED ON THIS BLOG ONCE THE GIRLS ARE HOME!!! AGAIN MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE GIRLS & THEIR WARRIOR!!

TRANSFERED

yep you heard me, I hate to say this but looks like Celine has been transfered to an institution. From what I hear she might not be in a bad place & the director would love to see these kids find families! The good news is she can also be adopted with another kid from her region based on approval. Hint hint Preston or Alden!
But then again no institution or orphanage is perfect hince the desperate plea! Please share her profile or this blog so we can get the word out about Celine! I was going to wait for fundraising but I am so wanting her to find a family so starting New Years day, I will be doing Crusading for Celine & Cora Lynne Giveaway Featuring a Brand New Emily American Girl doll with accessories! So I know I have asked so much of you all already with the Giveaway in August & the Auction just reccently but if you or someone you know would like to donate a prize please email me at singergirl15@yahoo.com thanks so much!

Shattered Heart

My heart is shattered, for all that's going on with a certain country right now. My heart not only is breaking for that situation but for this girl. Nothing too harsh has happened but sadly 1 of the requirements to adopt her is a 30 day wait. I really don't want to loose hope that her family is still out there but I don't know if theirs a family who would adopt her with such a long wait. I am NOT GIVING UP, & PRAYING FOR HER FAMILY TO FIND HER!

Celine still waits, dear precious girl I wish I could hold you & share the real reason of the season with you. I wish I could tell you it would be your last christmas in the orphanage & that a family was coming for you but since I can not I am praying this is your last christmas without a family. Your stocking will be hung on my bulletin board waiting for you til you find your family. I pray that someone may give you some extra christmas cheer to you. You have a grant of $7,512.83 & I so wish I could grant you the full grant for your forever family but since I can not, I brainstorming on what I can do to fundraise more for your grant.
I love you baby girl with all my heart! Love, "auntie" Leah

Another prize that was generously donated back by the winner in Celine's Giveaway! So, this book is so awe inspiring & although its not a true story it makes people fully aware of those with autism. Let's Help potentially effect 2 more orphans besides Celine! If you don't know of Karen Kingsbury books I highly suggest them to you with a box of kleenex as most you will cry! Heres the description of the book:
Before You Take a Stand ... You Got to Take a Chance.
Holden Harris is an eighteen-year-old locked in a prison of autism. Despite his quiet ways and quirky behaviors, Holden is very happy and socially normal---on the inside, in a private world all his own. In reality, he is bullied at school by kids who only see that he is very different.

Ella Reynolds is part of the 'in' crowd. A cheerleader and star of the high school drama production, her life seems perfect. When she catches Holden listening to her rehearse for the school play, she is drawn to him ... the way he is drawn to the music. Then, Ella makes a dramatic discovery---she and Holden were best friends as children.

Frustrated by the way Holden is bullied, and horrified at the indifference of her peers, Ella decides to take a stand against the most privileged and popular kids at school. Including her boyfriend, Jake.

No words

No words can ever compare to the love you have shared for this sweet girl!

Because you care for a little girl very far away she only has left to raise
$111.50 towards her angel tree goal!
I want to share all who have been a part of Cora Lynnes Christmas to whoever her future family might be! All who have bidded on Cora Lynnes auction will be included in paper presents for Cora Lynne for a Scrapbook I plan to make for her because whether or not you win on the items you bid on you have made the world to 1 sweet girl! So when I announce the winners Wednesday if you did not win please get a hold of me as I want to include your name/state in Cora Lynnes book.
Hang on sweet girl! We love you & all want to see you in a loving family! As I said No words can describe the love that a family can bring for her & the love you have showered her with! FROM THE DEPTHS OF MY HEART I THANK YOU!!! I want this to be her last christmas without a family & if I had all the money in the world I would fund her adoption but I don't so right now I can pray she gets the funds. My best gifts I could ask for is #1 she has a family & #2 she is fully funded! That would mean so much more than all the gifts I could ever get!

Interviews about Being a sibling to someone with Down Syndrome

I know that this may be a bit odd mixed in with the auction posts but really wanted to share this with my blogger friends & followers! So I was trying to enter the plus15 campaign my sib contest & like usual procrastinated til the last day when it was due but Tim, (my unofficial "adopted" brother) pressed on & made a great video so I thought hey now its there for the world to see on youtube! But to make it bigger I want to share it with you as I want New Parents who find out their child has down syndrome to know the siblings views. If you are a new parent & happen to see this video or my blogposts about Sarah, know that the child will enrich your life as she has done for our family! Our sibling Sarah

Precious Soul

See this precious soul?

For certain people you might be surprised this girl will be 9 in about a week. Heres a bit more about her:
DOB: 2002
Diagnosis: Down syndrome
We have very little information on this little one. We do have several photos. We also know that she's in an orphanage where most of the children are malnourished and receive only the most basic care and minimal therapy. As a result, she's significantly delayed.
$417.00 is available towards the cost of my adoption!
That DOB is not lying this girl is almost 9 YEARS OLD! she is in the same orphanage as Katie was in who is home with her forever family.
Oh dear sweet Kolina, it breaks my heart that no one cares for you or loving on you. I am Praying God will bring a family soon! Keep fighting sweet girl so that your forever family can hold you in their arms & cherish you for who you are! I wish I could snuggle you to tell you how much God loves you but since I can't I will be praying for whoever your future family might be & you to stay healthy & well. I am going to do all thats possible to spread the word to help fund your adoption & find your future family!
Such a precious soul she is. If interested in her go to her Reece's Rainbow page

Cora Lynnes Last Chance Christmas Auction-Rules & Info

Cora Lynne has been on the angel tree since last year, sadly she still waits. This is her last year on the angel tree as she will turn 6 years old in May. She will sit in her crib, not enjoying christmas opening presents or more importantally listening to the story of Jesus birth & not knowing the love of a family. Since this is her last year on the angel tree lets make this her last without a family! Adoption is expensive lets face it, she currently has over $3,000. The cost of her "ransom" is anywhere between $20,000-40,000. Thats heartbreaking, if every child had a full grant their would be no more orphans. She is only $211.50 from her goal, but you know what I think she will surpass that. I have seen miracles happen before, lets make sure money is not in the way for a family for Cora Lynne!
Heres how this is going to work:
I will post each item on individual posts with the description & starting bid. Please leave comment with opening bid on the item your bidding on.
Each item will have increments of $1.
Shipping will be provided by donors. BEFORE YOU BID PLEASE EMAIL ME AT singergirl15@yahoo.com with your first name & last initial
if you still want to donate please send me an email with photo, description of item, & retail value of it to the same address mentioned above. Auction will end December 14th at midnight pt.
Because her life matters!

Cora Lynne's Last Chance Christmas Auction-donations needed!

As I mentioned on the last post, I have been offered some items to do a auction for Cora Lynne. This is her last year on the angel tree whether she finds a family or not which makes this her "Last Chance" as she will be 6 years old in May. My goal is to see if I can surpass that $266 left to reach her goal. God provided with the Giveaway reaching over $1,000 in 3 months let's see what he can do for Cora Lynne! So if you would like to donate a item for the auction let me know! It can be anything, handmade or non-handmade, gift certificates, & more! Let's Make this the Last Christmas she has without a family! So if you or someone you may know might be interested in donating contact me at singergirl15@yahoo.com.
If you have or know of a company that would donate something let them know! Please spread the word! Spreading the word helped so far with her grant rising so I want to get this out to as many people as I can!

Blessed & A Plea

I am truely blessed of the $721, $656 has come not by fundraising but by putting the word out there. I am so greatful, to those that have donated. I have only heard from 2 people who I "know" have donated but have never met in person. I really was worried how I would be able to do my part but God did provide! As soon as I insert the remaining $12.50 she will be $266.50 away from the Angel Tree goal! I am sending out support letters but to bump up the speed & to better surpass that goal, I have at least 1 prize offer for an auction which I originally was planning to do in January/February but I am sending out a plea as Cora Lynne needs to find her family! She has waited far too long & this is one warrior who does not want funds to stand in the way of her finding her family! will you help Cora Lynne please? I want to do this pretty fast so that people can get gifts for christmas. So if you would like to donate something to be auctioned off please leave a comment & I will get a hold of you. Please don't feel pushed or forced to give as I know I finished the Giveaway not too long ago. Let's make a reason for this girl to have hope & be her last year without a family!
